In this project I'm trying to capture the perspective of a stalker like character. So in this project I am trying to get into the mind of a stalker and find dark spaces and allys where I can take photos from the view of some creepy fellow. As for my composition, I have tried to take photos behind keyholes and a bunch of other stuff that a stalker might do. Also I use a black and white composition.
After reading your description and then looking at your pictures, I feel like you captured "being a stalker" very well! My favorite is the fifth from the bottom, because I liked how you overlapped the shade with the person. I have no suggestions, so great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super unique series. You really made the stalker theme work. The depth staging adds the photos in a good way. Your work is pretty consistent, but your third photo doesn't fit as well with the stalker theme. I think that the photo doesn't show enough of the depth and distance a stalker would use to watch from afar (however, the use of the reflection is great).
ReplyDeletei really enjoy this series. i think that you made these ordinary things look very creepy and spooky. you did a very great job editing them as well which added to the spookiness. depth seems like a very reoccurring theme in this set, but i dont think that you third has enough.
ReplyDeletegreat start. I really like the style that you are trying to recreate. The second third and fourth images are my favorites. You should try to take pictures more like them, with a mysterious feel.
ReplyDeleteThe editing is really superb in this assignment and helps draw out the creepy feel to it. I like your last photo the best, as the depth really makes it dramatic. I advise not taking photos of the ground since they can be uninteresting. Also, stalkers don't stalk the ground. Nice set, very creepy.
ReplyDeleteI really like the 5th picture. I think that your series is very unique, and you did a really good way of capturing the "stalker" vibe. I also really liked how dark these pictures are, not only by the actual editing, but also the feel of the photographs is dark. Good job!
