Repition Project

In this project I familiarized myself with finding depth in patterns, which helped me learn a lot of cool new techniques.

  1. I think all the photos are really good, but the two that illustrate the concept of the assignment the most are the top one and the bottom one. They both show really good depth the the repetition of the patterns. I think the one of the ground tiles would show more depth if the angle was a little steeper, but it still shows a good pattern.

  2. I I think your fourth photo is the best. It's abstract, yet still clearly shows repetition. The shadows are pretty neat as well. I think if you captured more of the pattern in your second photo, it would be very good. Still, great job.

  3. Your first photo is really, really, really cool. Yet, it still captures repetition. One of the best parts of the photo is that it seems to expand infinitely, truly capturing the essence of the assignment. It is harder to notice the repetition in your final photo. The angle was a bit sharp so I couldn't really focus on it too well. If the angle was changed a bit, it would be easier to see but it may also change the photo completely... This isn't to say this is a bad photo. I'm not exactly sure how to improve it... Superb gallery

  4. great photos Cortland. They all capture depth and repetition. I especially like the fifth picture because it has a mysterious feel to it.

  5. Outstanding Photos! they have so many great thing incorporated into them like depth staging, repetition, and the overall quality of the individual photo. my favorite is your fifth picture of the gate. The is really good contrast between the gate itself and the dark background while including all the aspects of the assignment. Great Photos!!
